Nannochloropsis sp. has a high concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids, in particular omega-3’s (including EPA). Omega-3 is essential for cognitive and physical wellbeing. It cannot be produced naturally in the body and must therefore be consumed through food or supplements. Nannochloropsis also contains a host of vitamins (C, E, B12 and B1) and minerals.
